HI folks -
I wanted to let you all know that the Iron County Citizen’s Forum will be holding its next program on June 27th, 7 pm at the Oma Town Hall. The topic will be zoning ordinances for metallic mining. Iron county is currently drafting a zoning ordinance and hopes to hold a public hearing on July 1 or 2 on the first part of that ordinance. After passage, the zoning office will embark on immediate additions/improvements to the ordinance. I am attaching our press release with the details on the program here. But in brief, we will be hosting George Meyer to speak to the importance of zoning. Thanks so much to George!
